Much-maligned Shai Gilgeous-Alexander-Chet Holmgren commercial has at least 1 fan

There’s always that one commercial during the NBA playoffs or March Madness that fans get sick of from seeing (or in this case, hearing) so often. This year, that commercial is the AT&T ad featuring Oklahoma City Thunder stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren. The two of them are walking out of a building and they start singing a song about how AT&T knows exactly “what a pro wants, what a pro needs.” The commercial started picking up traction during March Madness, and it is still going strong into the NBA playoffs. Fans have seen a lot of Gilgeous-Alexander and Holmgren in the commercial, and they are sick of it.

People watching the games on TV are sick of the commercial for the most part, but there is one person that likes it. Thunder guard Aaron Wiggins was asked about the commercial recently, and he is a fan of it. He doesn’t get why people don’t like it, and he sings along to it.

“I thought they sounded really good,” Aaron Wiggins said, according to a tweet from Joel Lorenzi. “They’re very talented guys. Very well rounded. I don’t know why they get a lot of hate on the commercial. … Not getting tired of seeing it. I sing with it. I enjoy it.”

Wiggins is certainly not in the majority here as a lot of people on Twitter have been posting about how much they hate the commercial.  Any commercial that has a song and gets played often during certain sporting events typically ends up getting a reaction like this. People have just seen and heard a lot of the commercial.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren are more fun to watch in their games

People get more enjoyment from watching Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren on the basketball court for the Thunder. The two stars are two of the best players in the NBA right now, and they have Oklahoma City in a great position in the playoffs.

The Thunder ended up getting the top seed in the Western Conference this season and they cruised past the New Orleans Pelicans in their first series. Oklahoma City swept the Pelicans, and they are now awaiting the winner of the Los Angeles Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks. Dallas is up 3-2 in that series and they will be at home for game six on Friday night.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren might not be getting a lot of love for their commercial, but they are getting a ton of it from Thunder fans because of their play. They have a chance to do something special this postseason.
